Melani’s journey into the culinary world began after an early career in pediatric nursing. Driven by a passion for baking and hospitality, she later trained at the prestigious Escoffier French Pastry School, graduating in 2015. She continued expanding her skills at King Arthur Baking School in Vermont in 2022 and at Carpigiani Gelato University in North Carolina in 2023.

With more than 20 years of experience in the catering and restaurant industry, Melani founded her catering company, Epicurean Delights, over two decades ago. The business allowed her to pursue her love for food while also being present at home to raise her family.

In 2017, Melani opened Flour-ish, located on the square in downtown Conroe. The bakery was created to serve both the local community and the people who work in the downtown area. Built on values of respect, creativity, and a welcoming learning environment, Flour-ish focuses on crafting beautiful, high-quality baked goods using the finest ingredients. Melani is also passionate about teaching and regularly shares her culinary knowledge through cooking classes held both in her home and at Flour-ish.

Outside of the kitchen, Melani has a heart for service and missions. She has participated in several international trips to Africa, Guatemala, Honduras, and Turkey, where she provided medical assistance. In her free time, she enjoys gardening and spending time with her animals—including a couple of steer, chickens, and her three dogs, Molly, Oreo, and Josephine.

Melani has been happily married to her husband, Curtis, for more than 35 years. Together they have two sons, Justin and Noble. Justin graduated from Hillsong College in Sydney, Australia, and he and his wife, KealyJane, along with their son Maverick and daughter Sonnie Jane, recently returned to Texas and rejoined the family’s commercial real estate business. Noble oversees the family’s commercial real estate operations and is married to Peyton. They have a son named Denver. The family enjoys spending time outdoors with their Goldendoodle, Chewy.
